It was an age ago since Anne, Mei Yee and I last worked at Vicinity Perak. They’ve gone a long way since then, now they have a spiffy official website! Yet the style of writing, the phrases and the way things are put are unmistakably familiar, heh.
To wit: Vicinity Perak is a locally published lifestyle/travel/culture/history/local-events magazine. So many categories, because basically anything to do with the state of Perak is included! The main goal is to promote Perak as a great state of Malaysia, rich in culture and history and with great potential for the future.
Not just promoting Perak to foreigners. Not even just to other Malaysians. But also to Perakeans themselves, both the ones who have sought greener pastures elsewhere (ahem), but those who feel their life in Perak is slow and boring. Residents of Perak need to be convicted that their state has what it takes, before the rest of the world can be convinced!
A noble effort indeed. Indeed? Well anyhow it goes, Power to the Perakeans!
