Read enough of my blog, and you just happen to think to yourself: Is this guy a U.S. Republican, or what?
Actually, my viewpoints and beliefs just happen to have a lot in common with those typically espoused by the US Republican Party . This is very likely due to the fact that many Republicans are avowed God-fearing, Bible-believing, fundamental Christians.
Among the things we agree on strongly:
Opposing abortion.
Opposing stem cell research that harvests from human embryos.
Opposing same sex marriage.
Opposing racial quotas (it’s fair, and hey – I’m a Malaysian Chinese).
Support for alternatives to evolution.
Reiterating that evolution is just a theory and it should be clearly stated as such in school curriculum.
Not discriminating against religious beliefs in the name of atheistic liberalism.
Suport for ‘old style’ moral values that are grounded in the etachings of the Bible.
Taking a hard line against enemies of the country.
Not supporting initiatives to combat global warming, such as the Kyoto Protocol, until and unless more conclusive proof is shown.
And we think Ann Coulter rocks!
The things I support, but less strongly:
Reducing welfare benefits.
The things I do not support:
The right to bear arms applied to everyone. I believe that only individuals who are proven to be stable, responsible and law-abiding should have access to firearms.
I do, however, think that Bush is doing a lousy job with the whole Iraq thing.
I would have just increased homeland security and tightened immigration (especially from the countries the 9-11 perpatrators came from), while focusing on building up the economy. Any foreign threats would be dealt with from the safety of home, using upgraded and advanced space-based spy sattelites to find the target and chunks of metal dropped from orbit to crash into dictators at high speeds. Let the enemy country sort out its own internal mess.
Yet Bush has my support (and the support of all God-fearing Americans) for his opposition to the free immorality espoused by the Democratic Party. Frankly, the Democrats stand on the opposite of what I stand for, particularly on the rights of unborn human beings.
Btw, according to Indcoup, Muslims should actually like Bush. Maybe if he hadn’t had 9-11 and the resulting War on Terror thrust upon him, they would like him.

So, what’s your political leaning?
