More irony. Turns out the shooter was a former church member, home-schooled by devout Christian parents. Then went off for missionary training at an organization that’s under watch for improprieties and severely ostracized even by Christian apologists. His father (a neurosurgeon) claimed he was possessed by Satan. Competent medical professionals determined it was attributable to an untreated psychological disorder. Apparently his parents never noticed the growing stockpile of munitions in their son’s bedroom… or the constant deliveries from FedEx.

Still more irony. It’s also the same church whose former pastor Ted Haggard (who preached against homosexuality) was embroiled in a scandal that involved male prostitutes and a meth habit.

And nothing says I have a strong faith in God Almighty like a congregation that packs heat.
