The Home Ministry has asked three newspapers to show cause on why action should not be taken against them over their news coverage on a number of political issues.

Confirming this, the ministry’s Publications Control and Al-Quran Texts Unit secretary Che Din Yusof told Malaysiakini today that the three papers were English daily The Sun, Chinese newspaper Sin Chew Daily and opposition PKR’s party organ Suara Keadilan.

He said the ministry has issued the show-cause letters yesterday and the three papers had been given a week to reply.

According to him, The Sun was asked to show cause for allegedly “manipulating and playing up numerous sensitive issues”.

Meanwhile, Sin Chew has been targeted for its recent reports on the racial slur controversy involving Umno division leader Ahmad Ismail.

If a public figure says something seditious, and a newspaper reports it, the government goes after….. the newspaper??

As a commentor at Malkin notes, the first 30 seconds of the second video show how Obama doesn’t bother to shake hands with lowly public servants (the real heros of 9/11) while McCain does.

He must have been too preoccupied pondering how to better sympathize with 9/11-style terrorists.

Even without saying anything (having agreed to no-speeches at on 9/11), Obama demonstrates how truly below McCain’s calibre he is.

I say, good riddance! Free air-conditioning, Korans, prayer rugs, rich food, piped-in music and exercise equipment for terrorists – at taxpayer expense – is an unneccesary exorbitance in the current economic climate.

Here’s hoping the detainees will be transferred to accomodations far more fitting and ‘humane’ than Gitmo – like a Chinese prison or North Korean ‘reeducation’ camp.

But: Some of Obama’s advisors are cautioning Obama against his foolhardy plan!! Meanwhile, they’ll be getting movie nights, art classes, English language lessons, and “Game Boy-like” electronic devices…

Torture!!!

Ann Coulter recounts the case of a one-legged Gitmo detainee being horrifically given a new artifical leg. At the cost of $75,000 taxpayer money… Then going back to the battlefield and kidnapping civilians as soon as he was released. And also how the lie-beral MSM misportrays just where he got his plastic prosthetic.

Also: When the European Union uses worse torture than America, it is considered not torture because, well, the EU and not America. WTF???!!!

Horrifically skewed is how I’d describe the mental state of Obama and his Gitmo-Is-Torture zombies.

Meanwhile, 50% of Americans want to keep Gitmo open – versus 44% who want it closed.

Oh, Guantanamo Bay is soooooooo bad and inhumane! The poor innocent widdle babies who just happened to be wandering around a terrorist battlefield have to put up with horrific tortures such as:

• Air conditioning that is a bit too cold

• Christina Aguilera music that is not to their taste

• Great music like Metallica, AC/DC, RHCP and… Barney the Dinosaur. It really IS torture at Gitmo!

• Balls that are not bouncy enough, soap that is not fragrant enough

• Muslim call to prayer over loudspeaker 5 times a day, free prayer rugs, meals shifted for Ramadhan fasting

• 1600 Korans provided free of charge using taxpayer money (which are not flushed into toilets)

• Lots of food of many varieties, to the point they get all chubby

• At least 80 lawyers defending them for free (oh, wait… They’re actually sponsored by Middle East nations.)

• Beautiful female interrogaters who make them uncomfortably excited

• Treatment so much in violation of human rights that Gitmo detainee begs to stay

• Torture so excruciating that Gitmo detainees fear leaving Guantanamo to return to own countries

• Endless opportunities to abuse and attack their cowering, law-restrained guards

Don’t forget your souvenirs!

Please note the vacationers are alleged terrorists who want to kill us all just because we don’t adopt their religion. As soon as some were released, they went straight to Afghanistan to kill locals and kidnap charity workers again. We don’t even treat Nobel Prize winners this well on taxpayer money.

What Kind of Christian is Obama?

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2012: With the election almost on him, can you believe Obama really tries to pull this off?

UPDATE AUGUST 2010: Thanks in no small part to the following reasons I list, 14% fewer people believe Obama is Christian since he took office.

Rather than being all smear attackey and ask “Is Obama Really a Christian?”, let’s assume that he considers himself one.

(So for the purposes of this post, please ignore his “My Muslim faith” slip up, studying the Koran and reciting the azan, and his Muslim roots and being considered by Muslims as one of them.)

With that in mind, exactly what kind of Christian is Obama?

For 20 years attended a church that follows the skewed Black Liberation Theology (“If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him.”) See here for Ann Coulter’s take on that.

For 20 years listened to the preaching of a reverend who is known for shouting “God d*mn America!”.

Adheres to his own nuanced interpretation of Old Testament laws the Sermon on the Mount. (Video embedded at this post.)

Uses the Prayer Breakfast to espouse that Jesus would tax.

Skipped the National Day of Prayer, but gives a 5 minutes Ramadan greeting.

Gave statements marking Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, the Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha, even Nowruz… But skipped the Easter statement for 2011. It is claimed this was because he was busy attending an Easter sermon, which he did – and left 30 minutes early. Par for the course, his Easter 2010 message was aimed at all faiths, not Christians.

Omitted any mention of God from his thanksgiving message. For the fourth year in a row, does not thank God in his message.

Equates himself to Moses or the Messiah (leads to video).

Three times left out the phrase ‘endowed by their Creator’.

Tells us to be our brother’s keeper, but does not help his own poor family.

Carries a statue of Hanuman, the Hindu monkey god, in his pocket.

Has skipped church since winning the November 2008 Election.

Finally got to church after more than 2 years.

Allowed all mention of God to be removed from the DNC 2012 platform – where he is seeking reelection.

While speaking in Turkey, revealed that he does not consider America a Christian nation:

In fact, he has denied that the USA – the nation with the highest population of Christians in the world – is at all a Christian nation three times, while claiming that it could be considered one of the largest Muslim nations.

Will skip the National Day of Prayer.

Yet, takes off his shoes to join Muslim prayers at the White House.

And what about his supporters, who:

View him as the new liberal Messiah, and even more overtly compare him to Jesus or the second coming of Jesus (complete with liberal Bible illiteracy – DUH, blind people cannot SEE anything!). Or alternatively, to Lucifer – ‘Light Bringer’.

7 Years of No Terrorist Attacks Bush Hated by Liberals

There is no media coverage when another 9/11 doesn’t happen. We can thank God that President George Bush didn’t care about doing the safe thing for himself; he cared about keeping Americans safe. And he has, for seven years.

If Bush’s only concern were about his approval ratings, like a certain impeached president I could name, he would not have fought for the Patriot Act and the war in Iraq. He would not have resisted the howling ninnies demanding that we withdraw from Iraq, year after year. By liberals’ own standard, Bush’s war on terrorism has been a smashing, unimaginable success.

A year after the 9/11 attack, The New York Times’ Frank Rich was carping about Bush’s national security plans, saying we could judge Bush’s war on terror by whether there was a major al-Qaida attack in 2003, which — according to Rich — would have been on al-Qaida’s normal schedule.

There wasn’t a major al-Qaida attack in 2003. Nor in 2004, 2005, 2006 or 2007. Manifestly, liberals thought there would be: They announced a standard of success that they expected Bush to fail.

For his thanks, President Bush has been the target of almost unimaginable calumnies — the sort of invective liberals usually reserve for seniors who don’t separate their recyclables properly. Compared to liberals’ anger at Bush, there has always been something vaguely impersonal about their “anger” toward the terrorists.

Palin’s Faults vs Obama’s Faults

With all the mudslinging against Palin going on, you’d think that the liberal Democrat Obamaphiles would have found something by now.

Come on… Try harder.

And if you do dig up some serious black marks on Palin, then do let me caution you…

If Palin once supported the Bridge to Nowhere before she flip-flopped to fight against it when public opinion shifted… Obama has flip-flopped on surrender in Iraq, energy, NAFTA, gun rights, Jerusalem, Iran, Cuba, welfare, public financing, Jeremiah Wright, drilling, taxes, townhall debates, abortion, gay marriage and Islam.

(And Obama himself voted for that Bridge to Nowhere… Twice.)

Abortion is the Con-Choice

Supporters and detractors of abortion use very different language to describe the right of a woman to have an abortion even if there are no health complications whatsoever.

Detractors of abortion call it murder, infanticide, the killing of innocent babies who did nothing to deserve a death sentence. Fittingly, they refer to themselves as pro-life.

Supporters of abortion put the emphasis on choice – the woman’s right to choose whether or not to have a baby. They portray restrictions on abortion as a removal of freedom. Thus they refer to themselves as pro-choice.

But is support of abortion really a stand that upholds the right of choice?

Let’s use the example of a young woman, unmarried but dating. Being a liberal feminist, she sees no problem with having multiple sex partners. Free love is the philosophy!

Then one day, discovers that she is pregant. And being a liberal feminist, she heads straight for the abortion clinic to be rid of the ‘inconvenience’ and ‘punishment’ and get back to her carefree, high-flying lifestyle.

Now before she made the ‘choice’ to have an abortion, the ‘choice’ which the pro-abortion side makes such a big deal about, she had the following ‘choices’ to make:

She had the choice not to have premarital sex.

She had the choice not to have sex around her fertile time of the month.

She had the choice to use contraception while having sex.

She had the choice to seek support from the baby’s father (if she even knows which guy that is), from her family, from social services, from the local (pro-life) church, from adoption agencies.

Instead, she makes the choice to terminate the pregnancy…

And that removes the right of choice from the person who stands to lose the most from the abortion – the baby.

Did anyone ask the baby if he or she made the choice not to be carried to term? Did anyone ask the baby if he or she made the choice to be murdered? Did anyone ask the baby if he or she made the choice to surrender life just like that?

What if the baby had been allowed to be born, grow up and becomes fully mature… And then be asked his or her opinion on what choice to pick now – life or death? And if he or she agrees to it, then the forestalled murder can be carried out?

Does anyone really think the potentially-aborted person would wish his or her life had been snuffed out all those years ago?

Would YOU, o pro-abortion activist, agree to be ‘aborted’ today to prove your point?

Abortion is not the right of choice. It is the ill-conceived privilege to make mutiple bad choices, and then escape from the consequences of those choices by denying the right of the baby to make any choices at all.

Pro-abortion is pro-choice? More like con-choice. Both con as a negative, and con as a big fat lie of being about real choice.
