On 31 May 2010, Israeli forces caused the deaths of 9 alleged civilian activists under debatable circumstances. The majority or all of the casualties are likely to be Muslims.
Individuals, groups and nations across the world, led by Muslim states, rose up to condemn the actions taken by Israel.
Meanwhile, during the three days from 28-30 May 2010, elsewhere in the world, militants claiming to be carrying out the will of Allah killed 12 Muslim civilians.
In the whole month of May 2010, self-proclaimed mujahideen killed 715 people, again the vast majority of them Muslims… Just as they have been doing EVERY SINGLE DAY for the past ten years and more.
Yet when was the last time you heard of any major leaders or scholars condemning this constant genocide against innocent civilians – who are in all likelihood 98% Muslims?
Where are all the Muslim states rising up to correct these misguided jihadists and tell them that Islam definitely does not teach that killing is the way to paradise – and that Islam definitely definitely does not teach that killing Muslims is the way to paradise?
I dare suggest that the alacrity shown in condeming Israel – and simultaneously the apathy shown in condemning fellow Muslims – brings us to the conclusion that the only thing that matters is Muslim or non-Muslim. Whatever nonsense or half-hearted excuses they spout, that it the true bottom line.
(Just as how certain parties continually excoriate Bush for invading Iraq, even though Saddam and the UN sanctions killed far, far more Muslims than Bush did, even though the majority of Iraqis killed during the US invasion were victims of Muslim insurgents, and even though more than 750,000 Iraqi Muslim lives have been saved since Bush’s invasion.)
They would rather burn Israel flags and ban Facebook for allowing certain drawings to be posted than bother convincing their misguided brethren to stop killing dozens or hundreds of Muslims daily.
