From The Star 2 Aug 2010:
DPM: Hurtful actions can jeopardise racial harmony
KANGAR: Malaysians should not gamble on racial harmony and the country’s future by making misguided statements to gain political mileage or popularity, said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said Malaysians should learn from history that any action, which hurt the feelings of any race, would jeopardise the country’s harmony, peace and stability.
“In conjunction with this year’s month-long Merdeka celebration, let us strengthen the country’s foundation by upholding mutual understanding among the different racial and religious groups,” he said when launching the national-level Jalur Gemilang campaign at the Utama Stadium here last night, which was attended by some 20,000 people.
Muhyiddin said no one should try to undermine the country’s foundation by questioning the place of any race.
“Malaysia is among the top developing countries due to the Government’s success in managing the economy and the people’s contribution,” he said, adding that such an achievement would have been impossible without respect and tolerance among the different communities.
I’m almost too lazy to even bother this time around.
So please see previous post which is basically along the same lines.
