Kulai: Two Houses Broken Into, Robbed

Note: With the increased police presence, the criminals are not gone or defeated… Just hiding and more careful. Just like before the police surge (hehe, Iraq invasion terminology), they still go for multiple houses in one shot if they can get away with it.

Neighbours in Kulai fall victim to robbers

JOHOR BARU: Robbers broke into two neighbouring houses in Bandar Putra Kulai, tied up the occupants and escaped with RM18,000 worth of loot.

Acting state CID chief Asst Comm Che Yusof Che Ngah said the burglaries occurred 40 minutes apart on Wednesday.

“They broke into the first house at 5.30pm, tied up the three occupants and escaped with RM13,000 worth of jewellery and mobile phones.

“Then, 40 minutes later, they broke into the house next door, tied up the residents and escaped with RM5,000 worth of jewellery,” he said, adding that nobody was hurt during the incidents.

ACP Che Yusof said one of the victims managed to untie himself and called police.
