M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening is the Christian Rapture?

Does anyone else think that M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming film The Happening has a teaser poster that looks like The Rapture just happened?

Compare the quite common Rapture bumper/car window stickers that assume vehicles will suddenly be unmanned when the Rapture hits.

The trailer that I saw before Iron Man and the Wikipedia article say it’s about an ‘environmental crisis’, but could that be general enough to encompass billions of Christians suddenly vanishing into thin air?

Including from their vehicles, leaving stunned non-Christian passengers to stumble out of their cars in panic, leaving the doors wide open.

I just stumbles upon your blog. I thought that same thing. I gave it further thought.

Its a precursor movie to desensitize people for proper excuses for when the actual rapture happens. It’s a warning for those of us that know better.

The disappearing bees is a current fact. Oddly enough something I had a conversation about last night. I saw this trailor for the first time this morning.

    Life may soon imitate art.

Please don’t call anything pissed out by M. Night “art”… He’s a hack.

I wouldn’t mind if religion vanished into thin air, though… so if Christians go… fuckin’ take the Muslims with you.

Hey Stalin, you (presumed) atheists already gave it a try over the last 100 years, to the tune of several dozen million more than Christianity, Islam AND paganism ever killed over the last 6000 years.

  4. hutchrun Says:

Well, Islam is supposed to have killed about 60 million hindus/buddhists/others in india.
Ibn Battuta, the revered great Muslim explorer, explained the Hindu Kush mountains as being named after `Hindu Slaughter`.
I wonder how many Hussein Obama will be responsible for once he becomes the Mahdi.

I have not seen The Happening by Shyamalan. So I cannot comment on the movie.

As to the harm caused to Buddhism by Islam – it is certainly true that the reason vanished from India was due to persecution by Muslims about a 1000 years ago. I do not quite know the events and the clashes between Buddhists and Muslims in other countries.

It is interesting though that Buddhism is now making a comeback and that too in Western and affluent countries. Buddhism is a rational religion and appeals to people of a scientific and rational bent of mind.

Look you all are slaming each other in some way…look I can say for a fact that his stuff is in fact some of which is far from. I may not be the best person in the world to put my two cents in but you are starting things with people you don’t even know. I just came looking on the internet to see if something was true or not about an idea I had. but I didn’t exspect to see people who for all you know could be you next door neighbor. the point is with you all fight and accusing others you’ll never get past your differences.yes some don’t believe in anything and some do it still doesn’t make it right to judge other people for their beliefs. I for one would know that half my friends/best friends who I would die for in a heart beat aren’t christain and they would do the same for me. Look yes it is hard to see past things like that but if you keep bagering others for their beliefs or pushing your’s on them nothing ever good will come from it. you all need to stop arguing and look at the fact peoplle are different for a reason from the way they look to what they feel think or believe. no one really should send blame for anyone or wish bad things on anyone so just clam down this is just a blog it is not going to ruin your life forever so don’t take what people say personally. and this goes for everyone.
