Flip Flop Obama in Action – Video and Transcripts

Watch, listen and read my transcript as Obama takes one position and declares he will always remain in that position…

Then flip-flops to the exact opposite position, while denying that he ever had a different stand!

If these examples don’t show that Obama is a foundationless flip-flopper who swings any direction with the political winds, it still shows that he is woefully uneducated on the most basic of issues.

If anyone can correctly predict what Obama’s stance on an issue will be one month, three months and six months from now, I will pay you a thousand dollars to advise me on what lottery numbers to buy, and hire you as my personal stockbroker for life.

Compare the text in bold with the text in bold italics, and decide for yourself if anyone can possibly know what Obama actually intends to do as President (or if even he himself knows what he intends to do!)…

Video 1 courtesy of Moonbattery, via Youtube:

Obama: We are going to proceed deliberately out of Iraq, and we are gonna have our combat troops out, we are not going to have permanent bases there…

Obama: When I go to Iraq and I have a chance to talk to some of the commanders on the ground, I’m sure I will have more information and continue to refine my policy.

Obama: We are going to proceed deliberately out of Iraq, and we are gonna have our combat troops out, we are not going to have permanent bases there…

Reporter: You thought troops should be withdrawn…

Obama: No no, I’ve never said that uh, troops should be withdrawn, what I said is that we’ve got to make sure that we secure and execute ah, the rebuilding and reconstruction process effectively and properly, and I don’t think we should have an artifical deadline when to do that.

Obama: When Bush assigned Cheney to create energy policy, Washington has become so dominated that the voices of the American people are no longer heard.

Obama: That’s why I voted for an energy bill that was far from perfect…

Obama: Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, these countries are tiny, they don’t pose a serious threat to us…

Obama: Iran is a grave threat…

Obama: I believe in the free market, I believe in capitalism, I believe in free trade…

Obama: I don’t think NAFTA (North American Free Trade Act) has been good for America and I never have.

Obama: As imperfect as he may be…

Wright: White America, U.S. of KKK A…

Obama: He has been like family to me…

Wright: Not God bless America, God d*** America

Obama: I can no more disown him, than I can disown the Black community…

Obama: Just because you have an individual right does not mean the State or local government can’t constrain the exercise of that right. Y’know in the same way we have a right to private property, but local governments can establish zoning ordinances, that determine how you can use it…

Obama: That’s not something that the NRA has allowed to get through Congress and as present I intend to make it happen…

Reporter: Now you’re embracing the Supreme Court’s 5 to 4 decision striking down that law?

Obama: That that that’s not what I said, what I said was that uh, I believe in the Second Amendment as being an individual right and have said that consistently… I also think that that individual right is constrained by the rights of the community to maintain issues of public safety…

Obama: I strongly support public financing…

Obama: We’ve made the decision not to participate in the public financing system for the General Election…

Obama: What I’d like to see is a system of public financing of campaigns

Obama: Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided…

Reporter: You said that Jerusalem must remain undivided, that the Palestinians have no claim to Jerusalem in the future…

Obama: Obviously, it’s gonna be up to the parties to negotiate a range of these issues… Jerusalem will be part of those negotiations

Obama: Look uh, the uh, my position uh, has been uh, stayed entirely consistent uh, you know… I do think that Jerusalem need to remain the capital of Israel…

Video 2 again courtesy of Moonbattery, via Youtube:

1 minute 03 seconds

Reporter: You said in Idaho recently, uh quoting here: “I have no intention of taking away folks’ guns”, but you support the D.C. handgun ban and you said that it’s constitutional. How can you reconcile those two different positions?

Obama: Oh ah ip ip ip ip because I think we have, we have, we have two conflicting traditions in this country. Uh, I think it is important for us to recognize we’ve got a tradition of handgun ownership and, gun ownership generally.

2 minutes 33 seconds

Reporter: Two developments today that I wanna get your reaction on. Uh, first of all the Supreme Court decision today as you know that struck down the D.C. handgun, uh ban what’s you reaction to that?

Obama: Well uh I y’know I have said consistently that I believe the Second Amendment is and individual right, and that was the essential decision.

2 minutes 52 seconds

Obama: Uh, had I heard them, had I been sitting in the church at the time that they were spoken, uh I would have, b-b-been absolutely clear to Reverend Wright that uh, I didn’t find those uh, except…

Obama: Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial, while I sat in the church? …Yes.

3 minutes 17 seconds

Obama: Think about it. Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, these countries are tiny, they don’t pose a serious threat to us…

Obama: So I’ve made it clear for years, that the threat from Iran is grave…

3 minutes 34 seconds

Reporter: Barack Obama is championing welfare reform in his new telivision ad entitled ‘Dignity’. The ad says that Obama, quote: “Passed a law to move people from welfare to work, slashed the rolls by 80%”.

Reporter: The spot fails to mention that Obama resisted the very Welfare Reform Bill that led to the reduction of case load. Back in 1996 President Bill Clinton signed a Federal Reform Bill never to make welfare what he called quote: “Second chance, not a way of life”. But then Illinois state senator Obama told the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper that year that Mr. Clinton’s stance on welfare was quote: “Disturbing”. And in 1997 Obama sat on the floor of the Illinois state senate and said quote: “I probably would not have supported the supported the federal legislation”.

4 minutes 38 seconds

Obama (2004): I think it’s time for us to end the embargo on Cuba.

Obama (2007): I stress that, I’m not gonna take off the embargo…

4 minutes 49 seconds

Reporter:Obama was asked in a November 2007 Midwest Democracy Network questionnaire if he’d forgo private funding in the General Election and accept public financing. He answered simply: “Yes. I have been a long-time advocate for public financing of campaigns”.

Reporter: And this was Obama just two months ago on Fox News Sunday: “I would be very interested in pursuing public financing”…

Obama: We’ve made the decision not to participate in the public financing system for the General Election…

Reporter: Right now it’s Obama who’s getting the most outside help. He met with AFLCIL leaders today who pledged more than 50 million dollars to defeat McCain…

Obama: This is out moment, and our country is depending on us. So join me and declare your independence from this broken system and let’s build the first General Election campaign that’s truly funded by the American People.

6 minutes 11 seconds

Reporter: When Barack Obama declined to join John McCain’s invitation to appear in a series of joint town hall meetings he not only went back on an earlier indication that he would do that…

Reporter:But he also contradicted When he wrote in his book, in The Audacity of Hope Obama writes quotes: “One of favourite tasks of being a senator is hosting town hall meetings. I held thirty-nine of them in my first year in the Senate”... Obama said they are like quote: “A dip in a cool stream. I feel cleansed afterwards, glad for the work I have chosen.”

————————————

And another:

————————————

And more:

Pre-Election Obama said he’d hold unconditional talks with opposing leaders. Now post-Election Obama has decided that preparations are necessary.

From this pre-Election:

QUESTION: In 1982, Anwar Sadat traveled to Israel, a trip that resulted in a peace agreement that has lasted ever since. In the spirit of that type of bold leadership, would you be willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the first year of your administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, in order to bridge the gap that divides our countries?

OBAMA: I would. And the reason is this, that the notion that somehow not talking to countries is punishment to them — which has been the guiding diplomatic principle of this administration — is ridiculous.

Diplomacy: Obama supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions. Now is the time to pressure Iran directly to change their troubling behavior. Obama and Biden would offer the Iranian regime a choice. If Iran abandons its nuclear program and support for terrorism, we will offer incentives like membership in the World Trade Organization, economic investments, and a move toward normal diplomatic relations.

To this post-Election:

Talk to our Foes and Friends: Obama and Biden are willing to meet with the leaders of all nations, friend and foe. They will do the careful preparation necessary, but will signal that America is ready to come to the table, and that he is willing to lead. And if America is willing to come to the table, the world will be more willing to rally behind American leadership to deal with challenges like terrorism, and Iran and North Korea’s nuclear programs.

————————————

And don’t forget Obama declaring that the Surge will most definitely exceedingly NOT succeed and his supporters then pretending that he supported the Surge from the very beginning, and stuttering and stumbling endlessly when forced to think without the aid of a script.

And also, a video describing how an Iraqi minister reveals how Obama secretly told them to keep the troops in Iraq until after Obama takes power, so that Obama can get the credit – and Obama all the while saying he wants the troops back right now!
