One Piece’s Brook – 45 Degrees!

The Straw Hat Pirates’ newest member, Brook the skeleton has a silly act that cracks Usopp, Chopper and everyone else up:

Brook’s joke where he leans against the wall and forms a 45 degree right angle triangle seems to originate from Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson performed many famous gravity defying 45 degree leans during a few of his music videos which seemed impossible for a normal human to perform.

Apparently, the joke on ’45 degrees’ is a reference to Michael Jackson’s gravity-defying dance moves – specifically, in Smooth Criminal (Youtube search):

This has to do with Brook being a skeleton because of Michael Jackson’s video Thriller (Youtube search):

Two of the best Michael Jackson dances in my opinion.

And to boot, the enemy zombies of the island/ship Thriller Bark (Michael Jackson reference again) psych up for their fight with the Straw Hats by dancing the Zombie Night:
