A protest in Holland, that was approved by the Dutch government and meant to be a peaceful demonstration against Israel’s Gaza operation and against the arrest of an Islamist operative, turned into a terrifying rally of hundreds of ISIS supporters.
The protesters marched in the streets of The Hague uninterrupted while waving the black ISIS flags, calling “Death to Jews” and shouting other slogans calling to murder and fight the West and specifically the United States.
The police decided to intervene after a large group of hooded people started attacking passers-by in the town centre, with at least one person injured. The police used pepper spray to control the mob, confiscating tools and one firearm, and took the details of 86 people involved.

A 17-year-old in Penang is living in fear for his life after a teacher from his school reportedly linked him to a Facebook page declaring “I love Israel”, prompting immolation and boycott threats against the student.
The teen, an Indian Hindu filed a police report yesterday, after discovering Facebook threats against him by his teachers and a schoolmate, with one of the educators allegedly calling for him to be burnt in the latest incident of hate speech online.
A teacher allegedly screencaptured the “I love Israel” post from the teen’s Facebook before uploading it to her own Facebook page and commenting in Malay: “My student likes Israel? How shameful for me”.
Her comment drew calls from another Facebook user who is allegedly a teacher from the same school, to boycott and cut off ties with the student, and a dire message from one supposed teacher: “Kita bakor je hahaha [We just burn hahaha]”.
Muslim anti-Israel demonstrators attempted to force their way into a synagogue in Switzerland, the latest in a string of attacks on synagogues in Europe.
The protest took place on Saturday, during the Jewish Sabbath, in front of the Beth Yaakov, or Grande, Synagogue in Geneva, according to JTA.
The Intercommunity Coordination Against Anti-Semitism and Defamation watchdog organization (CICAD) reported that a Muslim woman wearing a niqab (veil) first attempted to enter the place of worship while waving a PLO flag and holding a placard saying “Every synagogue is an Israeli embassy” on Saturday morning but was prevented from doing so.
The woman then returned that night accompanied by three men, and a second Muslim woman also then attempted to enter the synagogue.
The group told police they were simply exercising their right to protest and promised to return the following Saturday.

Meats, cheeses and sauces were removed from a Sainsbury’s Local branch in Holborn, central London, as it was picketed by demonstrators who were calling on the grocer to boycott Israeli goods.
The incident yesterday afternoon happened on the same day anti-Israeli activists ‘wreaked havoc’ at a Birmingham branch of Tesco when a demonstration got out of hand.
The assault Tuesday began after the victim drove up to his own garage to discover it had been blocked by a parked car, the local branch of the CRIF umbrella organization of French Jewish communities wrote in its report of the incident.
The attacker showed up after the victim, who wears a kipah, sounded the horn. The attacker began chasing the victim while shouting: “Dirty Jew, this isn’t Gaza, I’m going to kill you and your family.”
Catching up to the victim as he was heading for the stairs of his apartment building, the attacker, who was much younger than the victim, began hitting the victim in his face. The attacker was joined by several other people who are believed to be relatives. He continued to attack the victim, also using headbutts.
My friend Alain Azria gave me a puzzled look when I told him, with some indignation and disbelief in my voice, that I had just heard talk of killing Jews at an unauthorized anti-Israel demonstration last month in Paris.
A young black man with a Parisian accent told a dozen friends loudly, but without shouting, “OK, guys. Let’s go hunt some Jews.”
His friend answered, “Let’s break their heads.” To which the first speaker replied, “Catch them fast, kill them slow.”

But in Schilderswijk, my neighborhood of The Hague where roughly half the population is Muslim, hundreds demonstrated three times since July 7 at rallies that featured flags of the ISIS terrorist group and calls to slaughter the Jews. On Sunday, the protesters were back on the street, hurling stones at police.
Central to my understanding of the banalization of anti-Semitic violence in Europe were the July 20 riots in Sarcelles, a northern suburb of Paris with many Muslims but with a Jewish population large enough to earn it the nickname of “little Jerusalem.”
There I saw riot police fending off a predominantly Arab mob that, unable to reach the main local synagogue, had smashed the windows of Jewish and non-Jewish businesses while chanting “death to the Jews” in Arabic and French. The avenue leading to the synagogue was shrouded in a cloud of tear gas and black smoke that rose from several fires that crackled on the asphalt and tram tracks. Nearby, rioters hurled a firebomb at a synagogue, resulting in little damage. It was the ninth assault on a French synagogue since July 8, when Israel’s military operation against Hamas began.
Chief Rabbi Binyomin Jacobs has declared in local paper, AD/Amersfoortse Courant, of August 8th, that he needs almost constant police protection. He says that he can no longer take the train and is continuously insulted, nor can he go to the shopping center in his neighborhood because groups of youth harass him.
A London nursery has reportedly received firebomb threats after a mother posted on social media that her daughter wasn’t allowed to eat her packed lunch because it “wasn’t halal”.

Now staff at the nursery have been swamped with racial and religious abuse. The Metropolitan Police are investigating allegations of “racial and religiously aggravated malicious communications,” and the day care centre has had to close down its website due to online abuse from far-right groups.

A Jewish man has been arrested for common assault after he drove away socialist, pro-Palestinian protestors who were menacing a kosher delicatessen in Bushey, just north of London.
Jewish News is reporting that witnesses described how a group of around 15 men, who had been taking part in a socialist ‘March for jobs’ unfurled Palestinian flags outside Flax’s Kosher Deli, at about 5.20pm last Tuesday. Some of the customers went out to confront the men, chasing them down the street where the scene escalated into violence.

The pro-Hamas supporters splattered their children with fake blood and lined them up in front between them and the police. Then they attacked the police with fireworks and flying objects. The demonstration degenerated into riots, with the children in the front lines… crying.
Looters ransacked a Paris watchmaker and grabbed more than EUR 200,000 worth of stock in the wake of a protest against Israel’s Gaza offensive, the shop said Monday.
An insult aimed at Israeli Jews as well as the words ‘Free Gaza’ were painted in metre high letters on the outside wall of the Milkstone Road church.
The word Israel was partially written onto the side of the church itself, while the rear of the building was daubed with slogans, and a graffiti ‘tag’ thought to be that of a local gang.
Pastor Dennis Rigg discovered the graffiti on Friday morning after being alerted by the Observer, who were contacted by a concerned resident.
The graffiti was painted over within hours and later removed by the council’s environmental management service.
Mr Rigg says he believes the church’s name made it a target for those upset by the current situation in the Middle East.
A large number of Muslims were milling around since it seems that their rally had reached its end point and was dispersing. Six Muslim men were being photographed with posters with the words, “Praise Hamas and Hezbollah, Reopen the Ovens” and were taking photos of themselves and their posters. Seeing us with the Israel flag, they began screaming, “You’re assholes, Kill the Jews, We are going to kill you, This is OUR country,” etc.
When we left the deli a mob of the original Muslims and others who joined them came up to us screaming death to the Jews, and one man around 19/20 years old ran up and with force and hatred threw an egg into my friend’s eye. This may not seem like much but I am sure the intent was for the egg shells to be lodged in his eye. The egg was not thrown from afar against his coat but was thrown like a rock would be – to inflict as much harm as possible.
We then walked back across the street to our building and were followed by a pack of Muslims – about 8 or 10 – who continued to threaten, mock and scream at us. They seemed surprised at our ferocious counter verbal attack. However, they came right within 6 inches of us saying they would kill us. One of the men was about to attack me when my boyfriend saw the assault about to begin and said, “If you touch her, I swear I’ll kill you.”
ATTACKERS launched two cars packed with petrol bombs at a synagogue in France’s south-western city of Toulouse on Monday night, causing damage but no casualties, officials said.
One car was set on fire and pushed by the other until it hit the door of the synagogue, at a time when about a dozen people were attending a class with a rabbi. The building caught fire but all those inside escaped unharmed.
Police found unexploded petrol bombs inside the second car, which did not catch fire.

Scotland Yard is investigating the damage in central London, which was thought to be targeted at coffee shop chain Starbucks for the second week running.

France’s interior ministry says masked thieves who attacked a young man east of Paris to steal his car repeatedly stabbed him after noticing he was wearing a Jewish symbol.
“After noticing he was wearing a Jewish religious symbol, the aggressors made anti-Semitic threats and stabbed him four times with a knife,” Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie said in a statement.
A pro-Israel rally in Malmo, Sweden was torn apart Sunday by pro-Palestinian residents who arrived on the scene with eggs, bottles, and tear gas grenades which they threw at Israel’s supporters. Police dispersed the entire crowd.
Seven hundred people took part in the rally in support of Israel, which was held at the city’s main square. It was organized by Malmo’s Jewish community and Sweden’s Democratic Party.
Protestors carried signs that said ‘Stop eight years of Qassams’ and ‘Peace for children in Israel and Gaza’. The organizers received a police permit for the demonstration.
However, a number of pro-Palestinian protestors who did not have a permit to demonstrate took to the streets in retaliation to the approved rally. They were not dispersed by police despite lacking a permit.
“At some point, about a half an hour after the protest began, pro-Palestinian protestors began to throw eggs, bottles, and even a tear gas grenade,” Elad Meier, a Bnei Akiva and Jewish Agency envoy to Sweden, recounted.
Meier added that the lawless protestors disconnected the speakers brought to the square by the Jewish community while its leader was speaking. The act brought the pro-Israel rally to an end, as others could not speak.
We were about 400-500 persons that showed up to show our support to Israel and its struggle against terrorism and arabic hate.
The arabs, that numbered about 100, where shouting “allah ahkbar” as they normally do and showed their hate towards Israel and the Jews with different slogans. It didnt take long until they started attacking us, this time with homemade pipebombs and fireworks. The home made bombs were pretty powerful, as I stood not to far away when one of them exploded. According to what I heard, the police managed to arrest the ones that threw the bombs. However, they did not disperse the arab crowd which they should have done according to me. In total there were two pipebombs, two rockets and some glass bottles.
The bombs didnt reach into our crowd since the distance between us was larger than last time, but the rockets exploded over the heads of the peaceful pro-israel demonstration.
The pipe bombs come about half way through the video. You’ll note that the reaction from the pro-Gaza crowd isn’t one of horror over a-tiny-minority-of-extremists resorting to violence: cheers erupt.

A paper fuse on an explosive device made from a small camping gas canister apparently was lit, but burned out before it could do any damage at the entrance of the Chabad House in Florence, Italy, over the weekend, according to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. The device was reportedly discovered during the day Saturday but not reported to police until Saturday night after Shabbat.

A number of school administrators have come forth in recent days to confirm that they recommend Jewish children should not enrol at their schools.
According to school administrators, law enforcement officials and social workers, the on-going conflict in Gaza has led to heightened tensions between Jews and Arabs – particularly Palestinians – here in Denmark.
And although few headmasters of schools have faced the situation, most of those at schools with a high percentage of children of Arab descent say they try to prevent Jewish parents from enrolling their children there.

Today, 10.000 people demonstrated against Israel here in my hometown Duisburg (Germany) and to express their solidarity with Hamas. So, my girlfriend and me put two Israel flags out of the windows of our flat in the 3rd floor. The statement of the police was to de-escalate the situation, because many youth demonstrators were on the brink of breaking into our apartment house. The following is how the Gaza situation is reported on in the mainstream news in Malaysia – supposedly, a ‘moderate’ Muslim nation. Obamessiah only knows what it’s like in ‘radical’ Muslim nations.

The term Israel is never used – the preferred term is ‘Zionist regime’, often with an adjective such as ‘brutal’ or ‘cruel’.
Only the Palestinian side of the story is shown and talked about – wounded Palestinians civilians, destroyed Palestinian homes, suffering of Palestinians, pro-Palestinian personalities interviewed.
The daily rocket attacks on Israel are not even mentioned, nor the Hamas attack positions that are destroyed. Seldom is it mentioned why Israel even switched to the offensive, intentionally leaving the impression that Israel invades Gaza as a hobby.
Pleas for donations to help the Palestinians are regularly broadcast – none for Israel, of course.
On the front page of the leading English daily ‘The Star’, the rocket attacks from Lebanon are described as *slightly* wounding two Israelis. This adjective would never be used for Palestinians, of course.
The US always gives ‘unconditional support to Israel’ – no mention of the valid and rational reasons why the US does so.
Israel will not stop ‘until it controls all of West Asia’ – not even Palestine or the Middle East.
And the most blatant part – Israel didn’t unintentionally kill Palestinians. It didn’t even murder them. It ‘drank the blood of Palestinian citizens’. I kid you not.

Haaretz Weekend Magazine has a fantastic profile coming up on Masab Yousef, whose father is the top Hamas leader in the West Bank.
The younger Yousef, who once assisted his father politically, has moved to California and converted to Christianity.

A moment before beginning his supper, Masab, son of West Bank Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, glances at the friend who has accompanied him to the restaurant where we met. They whisper a few words and then say grace, thanking God and Jesus for putting food on their plates.
It takes a few seconds to digest this sight: The son of a Hamas MP who is also the most popular figure in that extremist Islamic organization, a young man who assisted his father for years in his political activities, has become a rank-and-file Christian. “I’m now called Joseph,” he says at the outset.
Masab knows that he has little hope of returning to visit the Holy Land in this lifetime.
“I know that I’m endangering my life and am even liable to lose my father, but I hope that he’ll understand this and that God will give him and my family patience and willingness to open their eyes to Jesus and to Christianity. Maybe one day I’ll be able to return to Palestine and to Ramallah with Jesus, in the Kingdom of God.”
Nor does he attempt to hide his affection for Israel, or his abhorrence of everything representing the surroundings in which he grew up: the nation, the religion, the organization.
“Send regards to Israel, I miss it. I respect Israel and admire it as a country,” he says.
“You Jews should be aware: You will never, but never have peace with Hamas. Islam, as the ideology that guides them, will not allow them to achieve a peace agreement with the Jews. They believe that tradition says that the Prophet Mohammed fought against the Jews and that therefore they must continue to fight them to the death.”
Is that the justification for the suicide attacks?
“More than that. An entire society sanctifies death and the suicide terrorists. In Palestinian culture a suicide terrorist becomes a hero, a martyr. Sheikhs tell their students about the ‘heroism of the shaheeds.'”
And yet, in spite of the criticism of the place he left, California can’t make the longings disappear.
“I miss Ramallah,” he says. “People with an open mind. … I mainly miss my mother, my brothers and sisters, but I know that it will be very difficult for me to return to Ramallah soon.”

It would be a mistake to see this as some sort of watershed moment. But it is a prime example of the power of religion, both for good and evil. We are so moved philosophically by He whom we place our faith in. And history offers testimony to how different visions of one God can produce a lot, a lot of bloodshed.
Yusef is Arabic for Joseph, but because of that guy who wore the technicolor dreamcoat it seems an even more fitting new name for this stranger in a stranger land.

Hamas indicates Israel not to blame for Gaza blast
GAZA CITY – Hamas implicitly admitted on Friday that a massive house blast that killed seven of its fighters and a four-month-old baby in the Gaza Strip was not caused by Israeli forces.
“Members of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades were trying to prepare for a Jihad operation,” the Islamist movement’s armed wing said in a statement.
It said six members of the brigades were killed in the blast in Beit Lahya. A local leader of the Hamas armed wing died of his wounds on Friday, one day after his four-month-old baby died in the explosion, a doctor at Shiffa hospital in Gaza City said.
There have been several cases in the past when militants accidentally set off deadly blasts while assembling makeshift explosive devices.
About 50 people were wounded, among them 15 children, in Thursday’s explosion, according to the head of emergency services in Gaza, Muawiya Hassanin.
The blast destroyed a house and damaged about 10 neighbouring homes, witnesses said.
Hamas initially blamed Israeli armed forces, and militants fired dozens of rockets and mortar rounds at Israel in the hours following the explosion.

Israeli forces responded by targeting militants, with medics saying three Hamas fighters were killed in an air raid. Three more militants were killed by Israeli forces earlier Thursday.
