William Lane Craig on Different Views of the Atonement


William Lane Craig covers lots of different facets of Atonement views over the centuries such as divine justice, Christus Victor, ransom, penal substitution, satisfaction, and legal fiction (real life example, ships being considered persons and found guilty of crime!).

He makes it clear at the start and the end that he wrote the book because basically, if he wants a satisfactory book written on philosophical defense of the Atonement, he gotta write it himself!
