I do have serious questions about him being a muslim. And this scares the hell out of me, given the current conflict in the middle east. Sometimes people slip and say things that they really mean, because they let their guard down for a moment. He has yesterday slipped and said he is president already, and other times he said “when he was a senator.”

He was talking about how it was suggested that he was a Muslim, and the reporter specifically told him, “John McCain said the same thing about questioning your faith,” in response to Obama’s comment that he had said that talking about Palin’s daughter was off-limits.
So Obama’s response was:
“You’re absolutely right that John McCain has not – uh – talked about my Muslim faith,” saying that McCain had indeed not suggested that he followed a Muslim faith, not that his faith wasn’t Christianity. It wouldn’t have been the same point if he had said, “You’re absolutely right that John McCain has not – uh – talked about my Christian faith,” because he had JUST SUGGESTED that they were talking about Obama being a Muslim.
It literally takes two seconds to sit back and realize how often that type of comment is made in common conversation. He even explains it for you retards after he is wrongly corrected:
“What I’m saying is that he hasn’t suggested that I’m a Muslim.”
If somebody told you that McCain called you an idiot (say, me) and you talked to a reporter about it (and the reporter tells you that McCain hasn’t called you an idiot), you’d say, “You’re absolutely right that he has not talked about me being an idiot.”
You wouldn’t say, “You’re absolutely right that he has not talked about me being smart,” because it doesn’t make f**king sense because you wouldn’t be talking about the same thing.

Obama’s March 6, 2007 interview with Nicholas D. Kristof of the New York Times, entitled, “Obama: Man of the World,” has never received the publicity it deserves.
In it, Obama talks about being a “street kid” in Jakarta, about going to a Muslim elementary school: things he writes about in his autobiographical “Dreams From My Father,” events that one page on his official campaign website denies ever took place (Barack Obama and Joe Biden: The Change We Need |), while a different page on the same Obama website reprints the relevant paragraphs from the article (Barack Obama and Joe Biden: The Change We Need |).
In any case, in this interview Obama chants the opening lines of the Adhan, the Muslim “Call to Prayer” in Arabic, with what Kristof says is a first class accent and then, Obama goes on to volunteer that this “Call” is “One of the Prettiest Sounds On Earth At Sunset.” Here is what this “Call to Prayer” Says:
“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet… “
This opening section of the Adhan incorporates the Shahada, the Muslim confession of faith, and many Muslim scholars would say that if a person recites these lines, a person thereby becomes, for all time, a Muslim: surely something Obama knows. In fact, according to Muslims, it doesn’t matter if you recite the Shahada out of heartfelt conviction, or with a gun to your head, the effect is the same, the deed is done; remember those newsmen captured in Iraq and made to recite the Shahada as they knelt with guns to their heads?
For the Muslim world this recitation—which might as well be, and is, the deepest code for most of us “unbelievers” in the West–may be enough to tell them exactly who and what Obama is and where he stands.
Obama is not supposed to know this stuff, Obama, according to his defenders, is not supposed to have gone to any Muslim school, much less to have received sufficient training to recite the Adhan in a perfect Arabic accent and, the ease and facility with which Obama chanted the Adhan brings up many questions about just how much he does know about Islam and how thoroughly and for how long he was trained as a Muslim. His fondness for the “Call,” heard, it would seem, for just a few years when he was 8 or 9, brings up even more questions.

As for his ruthlessness, perhaps his support of legislation to let babies die if they survive abortion, gives a glimps into his soul, that he may lacks empathy, does not value life, and if in the position of power can be ruthless. There is no cure for narcissism. However, deprived of adulation, the disorder will remain dormant. The narcissist, without the narcissistic supply, may become grumpy and complain that the world does not understand them or appreciate their importance. They will continue to cheat and lie when they can get away with it, but the damage that they can cause is not earth shattering. However, when a narcissist becomes the focus of unlimited narcissistic supply, where millions of people scream at his feet, he goes insane.
As narcissism maturates, the narcissist becomes more demanding for respect and compliance and more intolerant of criticism. He becomes paranoid, and divides the world into “us” vs. “them”. He casts himself and his minions as victims and instills in them the distrust of the “others”.
The narcissist’s anger and intolerance is projected on his servile followers who also become angry and intolerant of criticism of their leader. Remember the sick symbiosis between the narcissist and his codependents? The followers get their narcissistic supply by elevating the status of their leader. The greater he looks, the better they feel. They see their glory is his glory. Conversely, when the narcissist is criticized, his followers become offended. They take those criticisms personally and their instinct of self defense is triggered. They will become vigilantes and will silence their critics through intimidation, bullying, mocking, threats and violence (like calling those who disagree with Obama, racists).

Narcissists are amoral. They consider themselves to be above the law. Once in power, they will try to strengthen their hold by surrounding themselves with equally amoral people. A good example of what we should expect in Obama’s administration is the infamous NAFTA gate scandal. This is what happened:
A senior member of the Obama campaign called the Canadian government to say that “when Sen. Obama talks about opting out of the free trade deal, the Canadian government shouldn’t be worried; that it is just campaign rhetoric and shouldn’t be taken seriously.”
Isn’t it amazing? Obama tells the Ohio voters, who are unhappy with NAFTA that he is going to kill it, when actually he does not mean to do any such thing. For a narcissist, ends justify means. He feels warranted to lie and deceive in order to accomplish what he has to accomplish.
This story was denied by Obama, but confirmed twice by sources at the highest level of the Canadian government. This is how a narcissist operates. Obama will lie to Americans and he will surround himself with equally unethical people. With a Congress and Senate controlled by Democrats, and his ability as president to replace retiring Supreme Court judges, nothing will stop him from abusing his power.

Narcissists are often callous and even ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident from Obama’s lack of interest in his own brother who lives on only one dollar per month. A man who lives in luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and who has raised nearly half a billion dollars for his campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? Because, his brother cannot be used for his ascent to power. A narcissist cares for no one but himself.
Compare this to what the McCains did. They brought a child from Bangladesh with facial deformities – a little girl with no chance for a normal life – and with plastic surgery restored her beauty and adopted her as their daughter. Millions of ordinary people, who are not even wealthy, have fostered children of total strangers in third world countries and give about a dollar a day for their education and upbringing.
Narcissists can be very generous, but never without an ulterior motive. They are generous when their display of generosity is noticed and elevates them in the eyes of others. Obama donated $20,000 to his racist and anti-Semitic church, but neglected his brother who could get some education and live a lot better if only he had one dollar per day.
Narcissism is all about image. Vaknin says, “The narcissist is shallow, a pond pretending to be an ocean. He likes to think of himself as a Renaissance man, a Jack of all trades. The narcissist never admits to ignorance in any field – yet, typically, he is ignorant of them all. At least one mental health professional believes that about 6% of Americans are pathological narcissists. The percentage in countries where child abuse is more prevalent is a lot higher. He studied for 3 yrs in the International School of Bangkok and got a “solid Thai accent”, a “first class Thai accent”? I know lots of students in an International School in a city in Malaysia, and they don’t speak with a Chinese, or Malay, or Indian accent. They speak English, corrupted with local idioms, with their mat salleh accent. My good friend, an American missionary who lived in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia for 15 years, speaks excellent Cantonese. Yes, he has a solid Cantonese accent but he was gifted in languages. Still, “Jesus” became hair of a coconut. I lived in NZ for 6 years, moved and studied among Kiwis, even taught them at university, and hardly socialised with Asians for the last 3 years of my life there, but I wouldn’t say I had a solid Kiwi accent.

Islamists Post Hit List of ‘Apostates’
An Egyptian group calling itself the “al-Jama’ah Consultative Council” has sent an e-mail hit list to people deemed ‘apostates’ yesterday. The group warned that those people on the list who had left the faith would have three days (as of yesterday) to repent or they would be killed. The group also warned that the wives and children of the Muslim apostates were being followed & would be killed.
Under Islamic Law, the maximum penalty for apostasy is death.
The list includes prominent Muslims living in the West who have spoken out against violent Islamic extremism and intolerance, some still living in Muslim countries, as well as Coptic Christians who have advocated equal treatment in Egypt.
According to Copts-United (hat tip: Clarity and Resolve) the group issued the following threat if the ‘apostates’ did not publicly repent:
we will follow them everywhere they go and at anytime; and they can never be far from the swords of truth, and they are closer to us that our shoelaces.
They are monitored day and night. We are fully aware of their hiding places, their houses, their children’s schools, and the times when their wives are alone at home.
We gave our rules to the soldiers of God to execute the rule of God so that their blood can become close to God [to kill them] and burn their houses.
And we thank God that many of those infidels and atheists do not exist in the land of Islam, so that they do not defile the Islamic land with their rotten blood. They are in the land of infidelity, the land of idols, pagans, and Cross worshippers: in America, Canada, Switzerland, and Italy.
If they existed on a spot in the Islamic land, let us wash the places of their slaughter and beheading seven times to purify the Islamic land of the impurity of their blood. And let us captivate their women and enslave their children loot them. Let us apply the Islamic rule to them; and whoever kills one of them, will get his loot.

It will matter that a Muslim cleric, somewhere, may decide it is advantageous to Islam for him to issue a fatwa (ruling) declaring that Barack Obama is an apostate, and that any Muslim can get on a fast track to paradise for executing his death sentence. They’ve already started sweetening the deal for Muslims willing to carry out such an execution by offering the promise of both cash rewards and the eternal reward of paradise, since some “believers” apparently need a little earthly encouragement.
Barack Obama is a husband and father, whatever else you might think of him, and he has his family to think of. Jihadists don’t hesitate to pressure a man by threatening his wife and children.
Even as a senator, Obama is already vulnerable to Islamist influence, since a charge of apostasy is a charge that cannot be refuted. Once the charge is made, guilt has already been declared. Therefore the threat of being charged with apostasy is enough to open Obama up to coercion. We probably should assume that black Muslim clerics in Minneapolis, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Atlanta are already influencing him, and his carreer, in a significant fashion. We should probably assume that Shiite and Sunni clerics in many countries already have made plans for him, and that Obama is quite aware of those plans.

I know you’ll probably think that this part of my response is dumb because you don’t seem to understand much, so I wouldn’t expect any more from you. Here goes: Getting an accent down for a foreign language is like getting one big impression down. There’s certain unwritten laws about languages that if you can memorize you can speak it, not technically fluently, but with a good accent. I’m good with imitations of how others speak, aka impressions, and I guess that helped me understand how to speak with a fluent accent.

The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.”
In a curious coincidence Obama’s first and second names–Barack Hussein–mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us,” the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition.

What is most interesting about his remarks is that he has not called the movement in Kashmir Islamic Terrorism, all efforts by India to portray Kashmir as an Islamic Jihad have failed to impress the most powerful man on earth; the presence of American-Indians in his team, which the Indian Media is celebrating as an achievement, has made no effect on his thoughts and planned efforts on Kashmir either.
It will be interesting to see how Islamic Republic of Pakistan will re-jump the Kashmir wagon now, having almost gotten rid of it!

Not that Obama’s father wasn’t a Muslim, if that’s what you think I mean.

A contributor to a blog, and particularly to THIS BLOG, is evaluated by the things he writes and how he writes it: content and style. Yours, ***NotAnIdiot***, has little content. As for style, yours is repetitive, crude-vulgar and ugly. When you claim to have learnt Thai and immersed yourself in it for 3 years, we can only decide on the basis of what you have revealed of yourself through your contribution so far.
An analysis provides the following: 1 A poor reader and by association, a poor listener, so you would not have listened attentively enough to have picked up the right accent, or subtle nuances of Thai. 2 An arrogant person who resorts to name-calling when faced with those not in agreement with you, so you would not have been a good student. 3 An over-sensitive person who reacts violently to those comments deemed insulting to you, so others would have avoided socialising with you.
Conclusion: you may claim what you wish to claim, but your claim stretches credulity to the limit.
Now, counter the points raised by witsO and hutchrun, not with insults but with rational argument and good citations.

All you’ve said to, and the rest of this responding community, is that I’m childish and foul-mouthed, that Thai people have a secret mission to make foreigners feel stupid by saying that the foreigners have good Thai accents, said that I’ve decieved myself by saying that I’m do indeed have Thai accent, and gave an analysis that has absolutely zero support.
My first response to the article had well-though-out logic, substance, and an easy to follow example (seeming to be more for you than others).
My second response was to respond to the writer of this page calling me out, while also including that my response is well reasoned out, on being a die-hard Obamabot.
My third response was to you asking me to “get off the blog until you can stop acting like a child,” and asking if I was a blogger using “false names?”
And you’ve yet to say why or how I’m acting like a child, by the way, so that also has no substance.
My fourth response is another response to the author and a response to hutchrun, where I provided fact that Obama indeed went to a Muslim school (non-extremist) and suggested how Obama may have recited a chant in a first-class accent through my own experience.
My fifth response is a reply to Wits0’s comment in which someone else said something about Obama being a Muslim and why it was true, so he blindy repeated it without a second thought of his own.
My sixth response is to hutchrun and how he said that me defending, with fact and reason, a person that is elected as president makes me sound like an apologist for the Taliban. It’s also to how he completely took my entire reasoning of Obama’s accent, that I lived in Thailand, and dismissed it as a lie without thought – I provided specific information about where I went to school and where I lived, and made it open to ask me about more information, which no-one has.
My seventh response is to you about how you sounded like an idiot (which you still do) by suggesting that my Thai friends were liars telling me that I had a solid Thai accent (which you followed with LOL), and I also provided more experience in which I was told I had a Thai accent.
My eighth response is to hutchrun about how he misinterpreted my comment, so I explained it for him.
My ninth response is to you again about my Thai accent and including an example of how accents are learned and how that relates to impressions and imitations.
My tenth response is to hutchrun and how he took and spun my comment to him, “God you’re retarded,” as amounting to me thinking that God is retarded.

If it’s the crude language, go ahead and remove all the f*cks and you’ll see that the essence of the argument still exists in full.

I’m not sure you you’ve found that I’m a poor reader – and you actually just tried to prove that I do not have a fluent Thai accent. You tried to prove that someone that you have no idea who they actually are or what they’ve done or what they’ve studied can’t pick up a Thai accent. You tried to prove it. Think about that.

I can see how you would think I’m arrogant, I have been condescending because I believe the notion that Obama is a closet Muslim is stupid and there hasn’t been an argument yet that can’t be reasoned false (I’m not saying that can’t be reasoned true either). But i’m not name-calling because there are people in agreement with me, I could care less if you were in agreement with me, its how you present yourselves and your ideas. They’re not thought out they’re just blatantly repeated from something else you’ve heard, or when you get to something that does have logic, you say things like:

I wouldn’t necessarily say violently, I would call it more something like deserved, because those comments that you think are insulting to me are not insulting, they’re actually humorous because you are trying to prove things about my real life that you literally can’t prove. Such as again, you try to say prove people would avoid socializing with me. A third time, you tried to prove it.
