If You Want to Take on Johor Criminals, Make Sure You Have the Capabilities

Be confident that you really are stronger, better at fighting or well armed if you want to take on Johor Bahru criminals using violence… They are the purveyors of violence, often attacking first, no warning or demands given, and robbing you when you’re in shock.

This is Johor Bahru we’re talking about: It’s a certainty that criminals will be armed and willing to hurt, maim and kill to earn a fast buck.

If you jump into the fray and just get yourself injured or killed while NOT preventing the crime, that’s an even greater loss!

That said, kudos and adminaration to Tan Peng Tong for risking his own wellbeing to help a fellow in need.

Snatch thieves slash Samaritan

JOHOR BARU: A good Samaritan who helped his neighbour to fight off snatch thieves ended up with 22 stitches on his forehead.

No regrets: Lai, Tan’s neighbour, visiting him at the Sultan Ismail Hospital yesterday.

Driver Tan Peng Tong, 58, had tried to kick one of the thieves off his motorcycle when they turned on him during the 3.15pm attack in Taman Desa Jaya here on Sunday.

Relating the incident, Tan said that he was about to wash his van when he heard his neighbour Wong Meng Yoke screaming.

“I saw one of the thieves waiting on a motorcycle while the other had just snatched Wong’s gold necklace.

“I rushed out and tried to kick the motorcycle, hoping that the culprit’s accomplice would fall. However, they slashed me twice on my forehead before escaping,” he said.

The robbers escaped with the necklace and pendant worth about RM1,400.

Another neighbour Lai Meng Long, 53, rushed Tan to the nearest clinic for treatment.

Tan said he was not aware that the robbers had a knife with them but he did not regret helping Wong.

“I had hoped I could get the necklace back for her,” he said adding that they had been neighbours the past 13 years.

The culprits are believed to have trailed Wong, 43, back to her home in Taman Desa Jaya after she went out to get some food from a nearby restaurant.

She had gone to the shop on her motorcycle.

Wong, who only suffered minor bruises on her right knee, was grateful to Tan for his selfless act.

“My mother gave me the pendant about five years ago,” she said.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Roslan Zainuddin urged those with information to contact the police hotline at 07–221 2999 or the nearest police station.

The Pasadena-based dating website, heavily promoted by Christian evangelical leaders when it was founded, has agreed in a civil rights settlement to give up its heterosexuals-only policy and offer same-sex matches.

EHarmony was started by psychologist Eric McKinley, who is known for his mild-mannered television and radio advertisements. It must not only implement the new policy by March 31 but also give the first 10,000 same-sex registrants a free six-month subscription.

“That was one of the things I asked for,” said Eric McKinley, 46, who complained to New Jersey’s Division on Civil Rights after being turned down for a subscription in 2005.

The company said that Warren was not giving interviews on the settlement. But attorney Theodore Olson, who issued a statement on the company’s behalf, made clear that it did not agree to offer gay matches willingly. “Even though we believed that the complaint resulted from an unfair characterization of our business,” Olson said, “we ultimately decided it was best to settle this case with the attorney general since litigation outcomes can be unpredictable.”

The settlement, which did not find that EHarmony broke any laws, calls for the company to either offer the gay matches on its current venue or create a new site for them. EHarmony has opted to create a site called Compatiblepartners.net.

Warren had said in past interviews that he didn’t want to feature same-sex services on EHarmony — which matches people based on long questionnaires concerning personality traits, relationship history and interests — because he felt he didn’t know enough about gay relationships.

United Nations Squanders $23 Million in Foreign Aid on ‘Beautiful’ Ceiling

The U.N. Human Rights Council, frequently accused of coddling some of the world’s most repressive governments, threw itself a party in Geneva Tuesday that featured the unveiling of a $23 million mural paid for in part with foreign aid funds.

In a ceremony attended by U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Spanish artist Miquel Barcelo told the press that his 16,000-square-foot ceiling artwork reminded him of “an image of the world dripping toward the sky” — but it reminded critics of money slipping out of relief coffers.

“In Spain there’s a controversy because they took money out of the foreign aid budget — took money from starving children in Africa — and spent it on colorful stalactites,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of U.N. Watch.

Ban himself praised the piece and thanked Barcelo for putting his “unique talents to work in the service of the world.” The artwork will soar above the Human Rights Council’s chambers at U.N.’s European headquarters in Geneva, which may soon undergo a $1 billion renovation — but only after a $1.9 billion facelift of the U.N.’s New York offices is completed.

Remember just what the UN is doing with your donations and tax money the next time they bloviate about ‘the necessary costs of saving the world from global warming’.

Meet a family that is devoted to saving the planet. Sara and Matt Janssen gave up a 1,600-square-foot home for a small apartment, then they moved into a recreational vehicle powered by vegetable oil.

They scavenged the oil from fast-food and mom-and-pop restaurants willing to give away “an increasingly valuable commodity.”

The fueling process itself takes about an hour, Sara Janssen said, adding that the couple invested in an on-board oil filtration system, which strains the “batter and chicken chunks” before the oil reaches the engine. […]

Having traded up to their 1998 Western Alpine Coach in September, they figure that they have traveled about 20,000 miles in all and resorted to diesel fuel just once, outside of Austin, Texas.

“It was our fault,” Janssen said. “We didn’t start looking early enough.”

She estimates that they saved about $25,000 using the kitchen grease instead of conventional fuel.

Now, to save $25,000 on fuel while traveling 20,000 miles doesn’t make sense. Reportedly, their RV gets eight miles per gallon of fuel. That means 2,500 gallons were used for 20,000 miles. $25,000 divided by 2,500 gallons equals $10 savings per gallon of vegetable oil used.

With diesel running below $3 a gallon, how do the Janssens save $10 a gallon by replacing it with vegetable oil? Maybe they used some type of global warming math.

Obama Lied (Again) – Ayers Declares That Obama Was ‘Family Friend’

Yep, that Bill Ayers on the far left of the poster, a criminal wanted by the FBI for plotting the murder of innocent civilians (although he denies it like a lying b*st*rd). And his family would be wife Bernadine Dohrn, on the far right side.

Now that it’s AFTER the Election and Obama is safely President Elect, unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers finally sees fit to admit what right wing blogs have been trying to get through the thick skulls of the liberal-loving media and duped public all along – Obama is Bill Ayers’ family friend.

In a new afterword to his 2001 book, Bill Ayers, former leader of the 1960s radical group Weather Underground, describes President-elect Barack Obama as a “family friend” and denies he wished his group had set off more bombs in the 1960s.

“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.

But right-wing commentators tried to use those connections to smear Obama, he says.

The Weather Underground claimed responsibility for about a dozen bombings in the late 1960s, with targets including the Pentagon and Capitol. The group¹s casualties included three of its own members killed while making a bomb in New York City in 1970. In 1981, two police officers and a security guard were killed when other members of the group committed an armed robbery.

In a new afterword to his memoir, 1960s radical William Ayers describes himself as a “family friend” of President-elect Barack Obama and writes that the campaign controversy over their relationship was an effort by Obama’s political enemies to “deepen a dishonest narrative” about the candidate.

During the campaign, Ayers’ friendship with Obama was a favorite subject of conservative bloggers and talk show hosts who insisted the two were closer than the candidate was admitting. Ayers’ new description of the relationship seems to contradict Obama’s statements.

Obama had dismissed Ayers as “a guy who lives in my neighborhood” and “somebody who worked on education issues in Chicago that I know.”

Obama said Ayers is “a guy who lives in my neighborhood” and not someone who has endorsed him or talked to him regularly.

“And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn’t make much sense,” Obama said.

William Ayers is a professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with whom Barack served on the board of an education-reform organization in the mid-1990’s. According to the Associated Press, they are not close: “No evidence shows they were “pals” or even close when they worked on community boards years ago…”

Here’s what the New York Times reported on the connection: “But the two men do not appear to have been close.”

Two conclusions can be made from Ayers’ surprise admission:

1) Obama knew, closely befriended, associated with, worked with, reviewed the book of, and had his political career launched by a completely unrepentant terrorist… Who tells us that everyone who worked with him knew that he was a radical. (Why is this important? Because it shows that Obama tolerated, if not approved of, the radical, violent, murderous, lawbreaking, anti-US-government, hate-filled targeting of innocent civilians that Ayers’ Weather Underground carried out.)

2) Barack Obama is a shameless and bald-faced liar.

Both of these things should be enough to give pause to anyone who wants to vote this man into the office of leadership of the most powerful nation on Eart…

14-year Old Girl Proves Rabid Intolerance of Obama Supporters With A Simple T-Shirt

This brave 14-year old conducted a simple experiment to see just how real the ‘Obama age of tolerance and understanding’ is.

Tolerance fails T-shirt test

As the media keeps gushing on about how America has finally adopted tolerance as the great virtue, and that we’re all united now, let’s consider the Brave Catherine Vogt Experiment.

Catherine Vogt, 14, is an Illinois 8th grader, the daughter of a liberal mom and a conservative dad. She wanted to conduct an experiment in political tolerance and diversity of opinion at her school in the liberal suburb of Oak Park.

She noticed that fellow students at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School overwhelmingly supported Barack Obama for president. His campaign kept preaching “inclusion,” and she decided to see how included she could be.

So just before the election, Catherine consulted with her history teacher, then bravely wore a unique T-shirt to school and recorded the comments of teachers and students in her journal. The T-shirt bore the simple yet quite subversive words drawn with a red marker:

“McCain Girl.”

“I was just really curious how they’d react to something that different, because a lot of people at my school wore Obama shirts and they are big Obama supporters,” Catherine told us. “I just really wanted to see what their reaction would be.”

Immediately, Catherine learned she was stupid for wearing a shirt with Republican John McCain’s name. Not merely stupid. Very stupid.

“People were upset. But they started saying things, calling me very stupid, telling me my shirt was stupid and I shouldn’t be wearing it,” Catherine said.

Then it got worse.

“One person told me to go die. It was a lot of dying. A lot of comments about how I should be killed,” Catherine said, of the tolerance in Oak Park.

But students weren’t the only ones surprised that she wore a shirt supporting McCain.

“In one class, I had one teacher say she will not judge me for my choice, but that she was surprised that I supported McCain,” Catherine said.

If Catherine was shocked by such passive-aggressive threats from instructors, just wait until she goes to college.

“Later, that teacher found out about the experiment and said she was embarrassed because she knew I was writing down what she said,” Catherine said.

One student suggested that she be put up on a cross for her political beliefs.

“He said, ‘You should be crucifixed.’ It was kind of funny because, I was like, don’t you mean ‘crucified?’ ” Catherine said.

Other entries in her notebook involved suggestions by classmates that she be “burned with her shirt on” for “being a filthy-rich Republican.”

Some said that because she supported McCain, by extension she supported a plan by deranged skinheads to kill Obama before the election. And I thought such politicized logic was confined to American newsrooms. Yet Catherine refused to argue with her peers. She didn’t want to jeopardize her experiment.

Only a few times did anyone say anything remotely positive about her McCain shirt. One girl pulled her aside in a corner, out of earshot of other students, and whispered, “I really like your shirt.”

That’s when you know America is truly supportive of diversity of opinion, when children must whisper for fear of being ostracized, heckled and crucifixed.

The next day, in part 2 of The Brave Catherine Vogt Experiment, she wore another T-shirt, this one with “Obama Girl” written in blue. And an amazing thing happened.

Catherine wasn’t very stupid anymore. She grew brains.

“People liked my shirt. They said things like my brain had come back, and I had put the right shirt on today,” Catherine said.

We asked the teacher, Norma Cassin-Pountney, whether it was ironic that Catherine would be subject to such intolerance from pro-Obama supporters in a community that prides itself on its liberal outlook.

“That’s what we discussed,” Cassin-Pountney said about the debate in the classroom when the experiment was revealed. “I said, here you are, promoting this person [Obama] that believes we are all equal and included, and look what you’ve done? The students were kind of like, ‘Oh, yeah.’ I think they got it.”

Various commentors/trolls on my blog have been saying that Sarah Palin was a drag on McCain’s campaign, being much disliked and viewed as ignorant and shallow by Conservative voters.

Yet it seems that the only ones who are saying such things are liberals who support Obama. Exactly what would they know about whether their ideological polar opposites like Palin or not?

Methinks that the ones who really dislike Palin are the same liberals who secretly fretted that this out-of-nowhere populist bombshell might actually outshine and outperform their precious empty-suit Obamessiah!

Whereas for Conservatives who were apathetic about John McCain’s weak-spined centrism and reluctance to go all out against Obama, Palin was a breath of right-wing, fundamentalist Christian, true-blooded Neocon air!

To wit, What liberals dislike = What Conservatives like. Therefore, the very fact that liberal trolls are going around telling everyone how the Right rejected Palin is excellent circumstantial evidence that the exact opposite is true.

Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar denies outright that the police moved in to break up a candlelight vigil held on the anniversary of the BERSIH rally, while the ralliers were singing the Malaysian national anthem – Negaraku – and arrested them all:

Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar has denied that the police moved in on participants at a candle-light vigil last night while they were singing the national anthem.

“That is what they (participants) are claiming,” Khalid told reporters at the Petaling Jaya police district headquarters about midnight.

When told that there was a video recording of the police action, Khalid replied: “I am denying it.”
